MPLS Homes 2025: Join Us for Our Annual Breakfast
The end of summer is an exciting time in Minnesota with back-to-school preparations in full swing, State Fair season, and soaking up those final moments at one of our 10,000 lakes. Here at Alliance, we're channeling that energy into planning our annual fundraising breakfast, which has a new name this year: MPLS Homes 2025.
We’re excited to have a name for this event that highlights something we think makes our work especially effective: our Minneapolis focus. By focusing on just Minneapolis, Alliance can partner more effectively with neighborhood groups and create more targeted solutions for affordable housing, like our current partnership with Whittier Alliance and the 2116 Nicollet project. In addition to neighborhood groups, we recognize that addressing housing challenges requires collaboration beyond Alliance and our direct partners. It takes a network of housing organizations across Minneapolis working together to ensure every resident, regardless of income or background, has a place to call home.
These collaborations will be front and center at our breakfast, with a panel featuring staff from Alliance, Housing in Action, and Hope Communities. Together, we'll explore how smaller housing organizations are primed to innovate and think creatively to tackle affordable housing challenges in Minneapolis and create solutions that can be utilized in Minneapolis and beyond.
For Alliance staff, and many of our longtime supporters, the breakfast represents one of our favorite annual traditions. While fundraising remains important, the event serves a deeper purpose: bringing together voices from across the affordable housing community, including other housing organizations, service providers, construction professionals and other vendors, as well as another important backbone of our work, our donors and supporters. Each year it serves as a reminder of the community behind not just Alliance’s work, but also the community pushing for affordable housing in Minneapolis.
Please join us on Thursday, September 25th at 8:00 AM at the American Swedish Institute, and if you have a friend, family member, coworker, neighbor, or other person in your life you think be interested in our work, bring them too! We'll celebrate the progress we’ve made this past year while discussing the important work ahead.
You can RSVP here or contact Cait Lopata at clopata@alliancehousinginc.org. Whether you’re a breakfast regular, or this is your first time, we look forward to seeing you there!
